In 2011 Brian and Rachel Dunn opened the Organic Tree Juice Bar to share the gift of health improvement by consuming wheatgrass, organic juices and live food.
"We believe that by consuming organic fruits, vegetables, live foods and wheatgrass a person can not only improve your health, but, in many cases overcome life threatening disease. "
Brian was originally exposed to natural healing through wheatgrass therapy and live foods in 1977. He studied with Ann Wigmore and Vicktoras Kulsvinskas of the Hippocrates Health Institute and, also had the great fortune of meeting and studying with Professor Edmond Bordeaux Szekely, founder of Rancho La Puerta - located in Tecate, Mexico, while in San Diego. Both Ann Wigmore and Professor Szekely had been treating all major known diseases with intensive wheatgrass and live food therapies since the early 1950's. They treated hundreds of thousands of patients in their programs.
As a result of this experience Brian moved to Hawaii to begin a pursuit of organic farming. During his years in Hawaii he learned about organic farming which he extended into a practice of organic landscape design. When he moved back to California he became involved in Marina management. In his work as a manager of ocean and waterfront property, he used organic methods in the landscape design and maintenance which no longer polluted the marina with pesticides, herbicides or any other harmful chemicals.
The Dunn's began the juice bar to return to their health-related roots, as well as share their juicy lifestyle with others.
"We want to share the knowledge that we have learned from Wigmore and Szkeley and make this information available to everyone in an accessible way by opening Organic Tree Juice Bar. At the Juice Bar we are providing the food that will make us all more healthy. [This] will create a stronger community and better world for our children and our neighbors. "
